I think that writing for a popular audience is way different from writing for an academic audience. When you write for an academic audience your a lot more cautious of what and how you say things, and i always try to make sure i have things to back up or support what i say. When you write for a more popular audience people aren’t as cautious they dont watch what they say as much. It doesnt seem like your trying to watch your grammar as much the tone is just altogether different. When your writing a piece to be read by a more popular audience your focusing on whats going to grab their attention and draw them to want to read what you have to say.
